The End of Taurus Season
In many ways Taurus season is a beginning. It’s when the seeds we planted during Aries season start to grow; where the intentions we set become real, tangible creations. When the Sun is in Gemini, we can jump off of the foundation we built during Taurus season, with the knowledge that we can always go back to that safe space if needed. This Gemini season begins on May 20th, and it brings with it opportunities to learn about how our creations fit into the bigger picture of our lives. This is our opportunity to observe the world around us and gather information that will inform our future direction.
As you move through Gemini season, consider the following questions:
What am I noticing about myself and the world that I haven’t noticed before?
What do I need to learn to take my ideas and intentions further?
What existing connections can I nurture with others? What new connections can I seek out?
Below is the general energy forecast for Gemini season (May 20th - June 20th), along with some key dates when certain energies will be heightened, all based on the movements of the planets. May 20 - May 31, 2024
What do I have to learn? This is arguably the most pressing question we are asked to reflect on when the Sun is in Gemini, and the answer this month is, “A LOT!”. To some of us, that concept may be intimidating. To others, it’s exciting. Regardless of which side you’re on, there’s some good news: much of what we have to learn are things we already know. This month, we learn from our Intuition.
Gemini season begins with a rush of intuitive energy. In order to unlock it, we need to look at ourselves and everyone around us with radical honesty. We may be confronted with some hard truths during the week of May 20th, but we have the potential to work through them from a place of empowerment. We can acknowledge the strength we have cultivated during hard times and honor our ability to withstand what has threatened to harm us. As Gemini asks us to be curious, we can reflect on those dark times in our lives non-judgmentally and with an open mind. We can learn from our mistakes and honor our resilience. Both are a form of self-compassion, and both set us up for easier responses to life’s challenges when they come in the future.
As the Sun moves forward through the first few degrees of Gemini, we are given the opportunity to merge intellect with spirituality. Spiritual connectedness doesn’t have to be religion—it doesn’t even need to be formal meditation (though a little meditation never hurts!). During this first week of Gemini season, what we need is to connect to the light of our soul in whatever way works for us, whether it’s meditation, worship, writing, art, travel or philosophy.
When we get to the full moon in Sagittarius on May 23rd, we will be met with the energy of raw potential. The full moon when we set intentions to release what we don’t need. This Sagittarius full moon comes with an energy shift so big that it won’t be too hard to detach. By May 25th, Venus and Jupiter will have moved in tandem out of Taurus and into Gemini, and we will be able to move much more quickly. If we remain honest and open, we can have some big revelations that usher in healing and shift our perspectives about our lives. Those revelations can come out of deep conversations with people we trust, as the desire to communicate honestly with others may be heightened on the few days after the full moon.
As May comes to a close, we can take time to reflect on all the facts we’ve gathered up to this point. We’ve collected tons of data in a short amount of time, but what does it mean, and what do we do with it? Before we move into June, we get to review all our possibilities. Based on what we’ve learned and what we desire for the future, what do we keep the same in our lives, and what do we overhaul?
