S1E11: Evelyn Dick

12PM Chart for Evelyn MacLean
October 13th, 1920
Beamsville, Ontario, Canada

Evelyn Dick was born Evelyn MacLean on October 13th, 1920. She was the only daughter of Scottish immigrants Donald and Alexandra MacLean, who had a tumultuous relationship. Alexandra was fixated on her social image, and wanted her daughter to be “in” with the social elite. This may have influenced her to go over-the-top with her attempts to make connections. Evelyn became a promiscuous woman with what seems like a complete disregard for the feelings of the men she encountered. Her desire for money and social status ultimately led her to murder.

S1E10: Luis Garavito

Luis Garavito was one of the most prolific serial killers in the entire world, who puts the likes of Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer to shame. Garavito is known to have killed 138 children between 1992 and 1999, but some estimate that the numbers are actually in the 300s or 400s. Luis had a difficult childhood and caused many others to suffer in the same way he did; torture, rape, but he took it one step further with his murders.

S1E9: The Grim Sleeper

Lonnie Franklin earned his nickname “The Grim Sleeper” after he killed multiple women in the 1980s, then took a 14 year break and started again in the early 2000s. For the most part, this serial rapist and murderer was well-liked by his community, and only shared his dark side with close friends. But even they didn’t see the whole picture.

If you’ve listened to this episode, you may remember that I talk briefly about the Chiron-Vertex opposition in Lonnie’s chart and how it might have affected his behaviors. I need to make a clarification: This opposition only exists if Lonnie was born between 11:25AM and 1:25PM on August 30th, 1952. The vertex moves very quickly compared to other planets in the chart, at a rate of a couple degrees per hour. If Lonnie was not born between the hours mentioned above, there may still be an aspect between the Vertex and Chiron, it just may not be an opposition.

S1E8: Leonard Fraser

Leonard Fraser was born in Ingham, Queensland, Australia to a WWII veteran and a homemaker. He was the second-youngest of 5 kids, and had a challenging childhood, which only led to an even more challenging adulthood…not just for him, but for all the women he came in contact with. Leonard was in and out of jail his entire life, and ultimately died there for a series of violent murders.

S1E7: Ted Bundy

Birth Chart for Ted Bundy
November 24th, 1946 at 10:35PM
Burlington, Vermont, USA

Ted Bundy is one of the most well-known serial killers in American History.  He committed numerous horrific crimes in a short span of time and continued to surprise authorities with his reckless behavior even after he was convicted.  People were enthralled with Ted Bundy’s case, not just because of his surprising behaviors, but because of his image: Ted was the last person that people expected to be an evil rapist and killer.  Ted Bundy’s story is a reminder that there is a darkness within our society that we can’t ignore, even if we try to cover it up.

S1E5: John George Haigh

Birth Chart for John George Haigh
July 29th, 1909 at 7:34AM
Stamford, England, UK

John Haigh was born in 1909 in Stamford, England, to a religious family with strict traditions…but from very early on, he didn’t fit in. As a child, Haigh was a habitual rule-breaker and prankster at school. While most children grow out of their rebellious stage, Haigh never did. It wasn’t long until he was committing “Haigh”-nous crimes (I couldn’t resist that one) which would ultimately lead to his capture and execution.

S1E4: Edward Theodore Gein

Birth Chart of Edward Theodore Gein

August 27th, 1906, 11:38PM
La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA

Ed Gein was born in Wisconsin in 1906 to a fanatical Christian mother and an alcoholic father. Both were abusive in their own ways, but Ed still always kept a special place in his heart for his mother…even after she died. Ed turned from a seemingly kind young man to a killer so gruesome that he alone inspired cinematic monsters for decades.
